Fellows and Friends of the Peter Cullen Trust will gather in Brisbane from 15-17 November 2023 for a series of learning, leading and networking events. Bookings for individual events are essential.

2023 Peter Cullen Lecture – On Science, politics, pragmatism and harsh reality: reflections on the Murray-Darling Basin Plan and its implementation.
The prestigious Peter Cullen Lecture is jointly presented annually by Griffith University and the University of Canberra. In 2023 the Lecture will be hosted by Griffith University in Brisbane in conjunction with Trust events. The Lecture showcases the legacy of Professor Cullen and seeks to advance critical issues in water management and inspire action.
The 2023 Peter Cullen Lecture – On science, politics, pragmatism and harsh reality: reflections on the Murray-Darling Basin Plan and its implementation, will be delivered by former Commonwealth Water Holder (2015-2018), David Papps, bringing his unique perspective on the challenges inherent in safeguarding and rehabilitating this iconic Australian asset.
In this thought-provoking lecture, David will provide insights into the multifaceted management considerations in the Murray-Darling Basin Plan. From navigating the intricate web of political interests to applying sound scientific principles, he will provide a comprehensive review of the plan’s development and execution.
Hosted by the Peter Cullen Trust, Griffith University and the University of Canberra, the Peter Cullen Lecture is free to attend.

Our November PD Day – designed by Fellows for Fellows – is a timely opportunity to re-engage with an exceptional network of people who seek to speak truth to power.
With the rich landscape of environmental markets as our context, we’ll look at the leadership capabilities we need to build capacity, partnerships and collaborations and deal with complexity. Our discussions will be enriched by outstanding industry provocateurs, and our connections strengthened through a session of speed networking.
PD Day is offered as a free professional development event for all PCT Fellows, but numbers will be limited. Lunch is provided.

Please join us for the Graduation of the 2023 Peter Cullen Trust Leadership Program (Women) on Thursday 16 November at the Sky Room and Terrace in Brisbane. Come and see our current cohort deliver their group presentation, pepper them with questions and gather afterwards in the Jaeger Room for drinks and canapes.
For those that cannot attend in person, this event will also be LIVESTREAMED.
