Ticketed event for Fellows and Friends of the Trust

This year, the Trust marks 15-Years “fostering courageous leadership to tackle big challenges in water and environment”.

To celebrate this milestone, we return to The Boat House – where it all began – for an intimate 3-course dinner, with founders of the Trust, Fellows, Friends and dignitaries.  Guest speakers include the Hon Tanya Plibersek, Minister for the Environment and Water.

Tickets are strictly limited to Fellows and Friends of the Trust and as we anticipate high demand we are not currently taking bookings for partners.  (If this is a concern for you, please contact Lesley Ryall at to discuss.)

PCT Water Symposium

Free to attend for Fellows and Friends of the Trust

This year’s first Fellows Professional Development Day has been recast as the “Water Symposium”, a whole day forum for bold, informed and solutions-oriented debate around the imperatives for a National response to climate change.  We expect a respectful “stoush” in true Peter Cullen style, enabled under Chatham House Rule by Professor Emerita Cynthia Mitchell AO (Chair of the Peter Cullen Trust) and Dr Kathleen Broderick (Fellow, 2014).

Guest speakers will present the irrefutable truth in climate science and water accounts and we will consider what this means for First Nations people; for biodiversity; for public water supplies; and for regional communities.  Small groups will debate the priorities for change, reflect on their individual and collective leadership challenges to implement change and present their joint statements to the wider audience.

Seats at this FREE EVENT are limited and available to Fellows, Friends of the Trust and invited guests only.  (Please contact Lesley Ryall at with any questions about your eligibility to attend.)

2024 Leadership Program Graduation

Free to attend for Fellows, Friends and Invited Guests

Please join us for the Graduation of the 2024 Peter Cullen Trust Leadership Program on Thursday 23 May in the beautiful Member’s Dining Room at Old Parliament House. Come and see our current cohort deliver their group presentation, pepper them with questions and gather afterwards in the Private Members Bar for drinks and canapes.

We are honoured that our Guest Speaker for the graduation will be Dr Kerri Muller, Principal, AU2100 and Friend of the Trust. Kerri has extensive knowledge of, and 30 years’ experience in, constructed and natural wetlands, water resources and infrastructure management, and a suite of significant NRM projects throughout the Murray Darling Basin and remote South Australia.

Kerri knew Peter Cullen and shares some of his traits, including telling it like it is.  In her presentation, Kerri will address the small matter of reviewing whether Homo sapiens have achieved wisdom in 200,000 years – buckle up!

For those that cannot attend in person, this event will also be RECORDED.
